In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying hardware components such as servers, JBOFs, SSDs, network cards, switches, and optical transceivers. You will write requirement documents for new features, work with vendors on implementation and debugging, and transfer knowledge to internal teams, including software developers, QA, support, and manufacturing. Additionally, you will become the subject matter expert for specific hardware platforms and technologies. Required Skills:
Demonstrate a detailed system-level understanding of systems
Previous experience in hardware design, firmware design, linux device drivers and/or QA/verification of complex systems.
B.a. / B.Sc EE or CS – an advantage
Prior experience in at least one of the following technical areas:
PCIe: Link training, configuration space, configuration procedures by the OS, hot-plug, transport layer, PCIe switch, SR-IOV, experience with PCIe Gen.4+ an advantage.
Server design: x86 CPUs, BMC, IPMI, Redfish, SMBus/I2C, BIOS, UEFI, design for high availability, thermal design.
Storage systems: NVMe SSDs, NVMeoF, RAID, OCP SSDs
Networking: 100/200/400/800G Ethernet, Infiniband, RDMA, NVMeoF, QoS, Flow Control, VxLANs, Optical Tranceivers, cables and DPUs
Linux: Device drivers, memory management, hardware debug and test tools.
