we are looking for a QA lead to guide and enhance our software quality across several development teams, overseeing automation tests, manual tests, performance testing, and production testing for our global payment automation platform. Being a QA lead in our company is about taking ownership of your group's quality from A to Z. This includes activities like identifying and addressing quality gaps, improving testing processes, becoming a knowledge center for your domain, and helping in investigating challenging production issues. You will also assist in hiring and training new testers, making sure we have the best people who will allow us to grow and improve.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Aligning testing strategies with product timelines and goals.
Monitoring and optimizing quality processes, such as QA refinement, test planning, test case design, and feature signoff.
Helping optimize our current work processes and improve them, as well as introducing new ones where needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Coordinating and overseeing cross-group testing efforts to ensure alignment and consistency in testing standards and practices across different teams.
Taking the lead in hiring processes of QA engineers for your relevant teams.
Mentoring, guiding, training, and providing support to QA engineers who are part of our organic development teams, including performing 1-on-1s.
Become a knowledge center for your teams and their domain.
Responsible for providing feedback on roadmap changes and PRDs before they reach the relevant teams.
Thinking through potential design impacts on other teams in the company and applying production-first thinking.

Requirements:
7+ years of QA experience (Web-oriented) – must
2+ Previous experience as a team lead or tech lead – must
4+ Hands-on QA automation experience
JavaScript / Typescript knowledge
Experience working with test automation frameworks (Selenium Webdriver, Playwright or similar)
Experience in backend automation testing
Good understanding of web development basics (HTML, CSS, JS, HTTP)
Experience writing e2e automated tests, preferably using Cucumber Framework – an advantage
Experience with source control systems, preferably Git – an advantage
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices – an advantage
Experience with a relational database – an advantage
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
