Main responsibilities and activities
The Project Engineer is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units, managing resources, schedules, financials and ensuring that the assigned site projects are duly finalized, in compliance with the project schedule and within the defined budget.
Day to day activities include:
• Managing all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
• Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
• Working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
• Defining the User Requirements and translate them into the project documents: P&D, Lay-out, Data Sheet, Mechanical and electro-instrumental Work requisitions
• Preparing estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
• Aligning offers from a technical point of view and arranges them financially, to allow the Purchasing department to proceed with the commercial negotiations
• Defining and keeping under control the GANTT of the assigned projects, ensuring that deadlines are met in line with quality requirements
• Guaranteeing full compliance with Safety and Quality standards in collaboration with the HSE and QA departments
• Maintaining continuous communication flow and proper update towards all site functions involved in the projects by organizing regular alignment and meetings
• Dealing with suppliers to coordinate both design and field activities
• Coordinating the start-up and qualification activities of new systems and equipment
Your experience and qualifications
Education:
• Engineering Degree – preferably Chemical or Mechanical
Skills:
• Objectives focused with excellent planning and organizational ability
• Good communication skills with attitude to work cross-functionally in a complex and variable environment
• Day-by-day high focus together with mid-long term view
• Ability to be customer-focused, self-driven
• Good attitude to planning and prioritization in alignment with business and customer needs
• Experience in negotiating vendor contracts
• IT systems familiarity
• Fluent English
Experience:
• 3 years’ experience as Project Engineer, preferably within relevant industrial production environment
• Project Management involvement in the production and utilities systems
• Preferred project delivery experience with budget management including capital projects
